ALFEBOR GRP Pipes are produced by means of filament winding method on fully automatic machine. The pipe wall is made from glass fiber reinforced polyester and filling materials. The inner and outer layers of the pipe contain high amount of polyester reinforced with glass fiber to enable resistance against chemicals.
The middle layer of the pipe is especially strong as it is reinforced longitudinally and transversally for rendering resistance against operating pressure and desired stiffness.
The process parameters and pipe thickness are continuously monitored and saved with the related reports submitted.
The cutting unit compliant with the pipe moving axial and radial directions enables cutting the glass reinforced pipes in a clean manner.
Once the pipe length is entered into the control system, the cutting process is carried out automatically. The pipes can be cut to any length ranging from 0.3 m to 15 m. The pipes are received by special-design elevated tables and directed to the calibration unit and then to the hydraulic test unit.
PRODUCTION
The main machine used for production is composed of a continuous steel band carried by beams in the form of a cylindrical mandrel.
As the mandrel moves under the control of a programmable logical control system and a computer, filling material, sand, glass, fiber, resin and surface materials are applied in required quantities after being measured.
